The term ‘natural area’ covers anything from suburban bushland reserves to world heritage areas.

APPROACH

The State has been divided into thirteen regions. Each region has been described in terms of Landforms, Landform History, Climate, Vegetation, Wildlife and History.

Each of the natural areas selected represent some aspect of the character of their region, as well as incorporating interesting features and things to do and see.

HISTORY

The book includes a description of Aboriginal people at the time of European settlement.
